Throwing Weight Around

We all have these tickers that tell the world how much weight we've lost, but have you ever sat back and thought about how much weight you've really lost?
I am one pound away from losing 20 pounds.  That is half of my short-term goal to lose 40 by my 40th birthday in February.  Twenty pounds is a car tire!  (No wonder they call my stomach a "spare tire".)
They sell things like ice, dog food, rice and flour in twenty pound bags.  I can't even imagine carrying around a twenty pound bag of rice with me, yet my legs have been carrying that (and more) for many years.
When you really think about the weight you're losing, it's mind-boggling, really.  Just think of every pound as a pound of butter that has left your body.  That's a lot of butter!
I am proud of all of your successes and here's to another 20 pounds (for me).
Thank you all for your support.
